Work completed around trading hours

Each of these was delivered in stages while the venue continued to operate. The notes below describe what was failing, what was changed and how the work was staged.

Casino gaming floor after carpet and seating renewal
New patterned casino carpet installed across a gaming floor

Toronto, Canada · 2025

Harbour venue, main gaming floor

A 2,400 m² floor renewed in eight overnight stages while the venue kept trading during the day.

The existing carpet had worn into visible lanes between the entry, cashier and table pit. We drew a new axminster layout that moved the pattern break away from the busiest crossings and used a darker ground under the machine banks.

Table seating was replaced set by set so no pit lost more than two tables in a night, and the lighting control was re-scened to separate table lighting from the general ceiling wash.

Completed private casino salon with baccarat table and drapery

Vancouver, Canada · 2024

Pacific private salons

Four salons rebuilt behind hoarding: joinery, drapery, seating, lighting and one commissioned wall work each.

Each salon takes a single table, a host station and a small service bar. Chair widths and table heights were set for the seat counts the operator wanted rather than a catalogue standard.

Acoustic wall upholstery and lined drapery brought reverberation down enough for normal conversation at the table with the door closed.

Brass sculpture in a stone-clad casino arrival hall

Montreal, Canada · 2024

Riverside arrival hall and cashier

An arrival sequence rebuilt so guests reach the cashier and cloakroom without crossing the machine floor.

Stone and veneer selections were reduced to three finishes so the joinery could be shop-made in a single run and installed over two weeks.

A brass floor piece anchors the hall; its plinth, rigging points and lighting were resolved with the structural engineer before fabrication began.

Decorative pendant lighting above a gaming machine lounge

Calgary, Canada · 2023

Prairie club gaming lounge

A 90-machine lounge refitted with new stools, screens and decorative lighting over four weekends.

Stool heights were matched to three different machine cabinet types on the floor, with gas lifts specified for the range the operator needed rather than a single fixed height.

Decorative pendants replaced a flat ceiling grid, and the general lighting level was lowered so machine screens no longer needed to be run at full brightness.
